No Cookies - Sorry

Looks like you are having problems logging in, or signing up. The reason is that your cookies are disabled. Please turn on Session (temporary) cookies.

Answer:
The most likely reason is that your web browser is not accepting cookies.

Huh?
We place what is commonly called a "cookie" on your computer. It is a bit of data that lets us know who you are when you go from one page to the next. Without that cookie, you look just like anyone else in the world as far as our computers can tell. With that cookie we can say "ah yes! It's OK to show this person their private account information because they properly logged in and told us who they are."

But I've heard cookies are bad!?
Some companies use cookies to try to track you where ever you go (i.e. 'Big Brother is Watching'). Unfortunately, that kind of usage has given cookies a bad name, despite the fact that cookies can be extremely useful to make your web experience fast, customized and helpful. We do not share our cookie information with anyone (Privacy Policy).

How long do cookies stay on my computer?
The way our cookies currently work, is that we give you a new one each time you visit our site and log-in. When you "log-out" or exit your browser, the cookie disappears.

How do I fix this problem?
What you need you to do is to enable your browser to receive cookies. The default setup for web browsers is to accept cookies, so someone using your browser likely turned off this ability. To turn it back on:

Internet Explorer (Win)

  • Go to the "Tools" menu.
  • Choose the "Internet Options..." menu item.
  • Click the "Privacy" tab.
  • Make sure you have "Medium High" or lower selected.
  • Click "OK".

Mozilla (Win)

  • Go to the "Edit" menu.
  • Choose the "Preferences..." menu item.
  • In the "Category" section on the left-hand-side, click the plus sign (+) next to "Privacy & Security".
  • Click "Cookies".
  • Make sure you have "Enable cookies for the originating web site only" or lower selected.
  • Click "OK".

Netscape (Win)

  • Go to the "Edit" menu.
  • Choose the "Preferences..." menu item.
  • In the "Category" section on the left-hand-side, click the right arrow next to "Privacy & Security".
  • Click "Cookies".
  • Make sure you have "Allow cookies for the originating web site only" or lower selected.
  • Click "OK".

Internet Explorer (Mac)

  • Under the Explorer menu, select "Preferences..."
  • Scroll the list on the left side of the "Internet Explorer Preferences" window until you see the item reading "Receiving Files." Expand this section if necessary by clicking the triangle icon.
  • Click on the "Cookies" line.
  • On the right side of the window, set the "When receiving cookies" item to either "Never Ask" or "Ask for each site".

Camino (Mac)

  • Under the Camino menu, select 'Preferences...'
  • In the Camino Preferences window that pops open, click the Privacy icon.
  • Verify that the Cookies radio button is set to either "Accept cookies from any site" or "Accept cookies only from sites you visit"
  • If you're having trouble logging in to Care2.com, click the "Edit Site Permissions..." button; if a list of websites appears, scan the list for "www.care2.com" or "passport.care2.net"; if either shows "Deny" in the 2nd column, click the "Remove" button to remove those lines.

Safari (Mac)

  • Under the Safari menu, select 'Preferences...'
  • In the window that pops open, click the Security icon.
  • Verify that the Accept Cookies radio button is set to either "Always" or "Only from sites you navigate to"

Netscape 7.2 (Mac)

  • Under the Netscape menu, select 'Preferences...'
  • If necessary, click to expand the "Privacy & Security" item in the scrolling list on the loft side of the Preferences window.
  • Under "Privacy & Security," click the "Cookies" item.
  • Verify that the "Cookie Acceptance Policy radio button is set to either "Allow cookies from the originating web site only" or "Allow all cookies". (At this time we do not suggest using the "Allow cookies based on privacy settings" option.)
  • If you're having trouble logging in to Care2.com, click the "Cookie Manager" button, then the "Cookie Sites" tab in the Cookie Manager window. If a list of websites appears in this pane, scroll to find "www.care2.com" and "passport.care2.net". If either sites appear in the list, click to highlight and then click the "Remove Site" button.

Firefox (Mac)

  • Under the Firefox menu, select 'Preferences...'
  • In the window that pops open, click the Privacy icon.
  • If necessary, click the triangle to expand the Cookies section on the left side of the window
  • Verify that the Enable Cookies checkbox is checked.
